The $11 million musical, which opened in December 2005, recouped its investment in less than year for the show's producers, who include Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones.

A touring company, starring LaToya London of "American Idol" and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, is currently playing in Los Angeles. The tour is scheduled through 2009.
