Terrifying new footage of the tsunami in Japan surfaces

(CBS) - Terrifying new footage has surfaced from the tsunami in Japan. In the above video, from Iwaki City in Fukushima prefecture, citizens are shown fleeing what turns out to be a massive wave of water right behind them.

Disaster in Japan: Complete Coverage

The footage just recently appeared online, much like a lot of video surrounding the disaster (some of which we have featured on The Feed before HERE.) While the people shown in this video presumably made it to safety, as many as 25,000 Japanese were killed in the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country's northeast coast. The nuclear situation is still unfolding as well, recently the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant disaster has been upgraded the same level as Chernobyl. To read more on that, click HERE.

UPDATE: Another shocking video has just recently surfaced that was shot by a university student and shows the tsunami striking Nakatsugawa City below.
