The 22-year-old singer tweeted about the news:

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has fans guessing whether Swift wrote the song about one of her famous ex-boyfriends.

The track will appear on Swift's new album, "Red," due out Oct. 22.

Swift will perform a new song at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 6.
