Take "out of this world" time-lapse trip to Mars

(CBS News) Through the magic of time-lapse we have managed to hit many exotic locales across the globe here on The Feed. But there is one "final frontier" we have yet to venture to: Mars! So grab your bags and (imaginary) space passport, and get ready to blast off above.

The truly "out of this world" and most-exotic-of-all-exotic-locales journey was posted by YouTube user Karl Sanford who writes about it:

Created by using only Full Data Product from the Front Left Hazcam and covers the period between Sol 0 (August 8th, 2012) and Sol 281 (May 21st, 2013).
This is my first attempt at this process and hope to update and refine these videos as more data becomes available. Check back for more!
If you're curious to see the raw images used, Karl has helpfully provided a link to them that you can check out by clicking here. And I mentioned grabbing your "space passport" earlier, but am suddenly curious on what form of identification would one take for interplanetary travel? Since, in theory, space tourism is on the horizon for the low, low price of only $200,000 pretty soon... Either way, a really great way to visit Mars without all of the years of education and training that comes with becoming an astronaut! And if you'd like to check out more geek-chic work from Karl Sanford, be sure to visit his YouTube page by clicking here.
