(CBS News) This year's South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, is already a major star-studded affair.

Matthew McConaughey and his fiancee, Camila Alves, were spotted at the premiere of "Killer Joe" at the 2012 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival. And they were photographed smooching all around the city.

The lovebirds probably feel right at home at the event, having recently abandoned California for Texas. Reports say they moved into a $4 million, seven-bedroom home in Austin.

McConaughey wasn't the only celebrity in Austin. Actor Mark Wahlberg attended the panel, "A Conversation with Seth MacFarlane," and Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, dressed in complete police garb, showed up for premiere of their film, "21 Jump Street."

This is just the beginning. The music portion gets fully under way today, while the film events stretch to March 17.

Jay-Z already got the music party started on Monday night at the AMEX Sync Show. Upcoming shows will feature Neon Trees, Sleigh Bells, Skrillex and Counting Crows, among other acts.
