NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Nicholas Brooks, the son of Oscar-winning composer Joseph Brooks, is being questioned in connection with a 33-year-old woman who was found dead early Thursday morning at an exclusive boutique hotel in New York City, according to a police official.

Police went to the SoHo House New York at around 3 a.m. after receiving a 911 call. Brooks was not in the room when police arrived, according to the anonymous official. He returned several hours later.

Hotel workers, reportedly responding to guest complaints of water leaking from the ceiling, discovered the woman, fully clothed, sitting in a bathtub with the water running. She was pronounced dead by an emergency medical team.

The woman had checked into the room with Nicholas Brooks on Wednesday, sources told the New York Post.

There were no apparent signs of trauma found on the body and the cause of death remains under investigation. The woman's identity is not being released until her next of kin has been notified.

Brooks has not been charged with any crime.

The SoHo House website says it has 24 rooms that offer guests "a unique combination of luxury and style." The building has a screening room, library and heated rooftop pool and fine dining.

Joseph Brooks, who won an Oscar for his composition "You Light Up My Life," is facing unrelated charges of molesting would-be actresses in his Manhattan apartment.
