Schmeared: Traffic Ticket Cop Gets Nasty Bagel Surprise, Hint Body Hair Involved

(CBS)
EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS/AP) Revenge is a dish best served cold...on a bagel.

Officials said it was a grudge that led a South Jersey cook to put "body hair" in a cop's sandwich -- a cop who had apparently given him traffic tickets in the past.

Ryan Burke was arrested Feb. 21 in the kitchen of Good Foods to Go in Evesham, N.J., and charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, according to the Courier-Post. Burke served a bagel sandwich to a police officer who had ticketed him in March 2009 when he failed to pull over for a traffic violation.

The 26-year-old Burke says he didn't intentionally put anything in the lunch of the officer, whose name has not been released.

The cook spent four hours in jail before his wife bailed him out. He was fired after seven years on the job.
