San Diego Comic-Con: What you need to watch

San Diego Comic-Con has ended. As the dust settles (sorry California) there's a lot to learn about your favorite TV shows and movies. Here's what you need to get excited for:

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

Easily the most anticipated panel at Comic-Con, "Star Wars" veterans and stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher wowed the audience but gave few tidbits about the upcoming "The Force Awakens" film. Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and Domhnall Gleeson joined the panel as the bad guys, but even they were tight-lipped on any details. We still don't know much, but we did get this behind-the-scenes trailer. Did we mention there's a standalone Han Solo film in the works?

"Game of Thrones"

Bad news. "Game of Thrones" director David Nutter confirmed the death of Jon Snow to the highest-ranking fan in the United States: President Barack Obama. When they first met, Mr. Obama straight up asked Nutter "You didn't kill Jon Snow, did you?"

Entertainment Weekly reports that Nutter told the president: "Jon Snow is deader than dead."

Nobody on the Comic-Con panel would reveal anything about Jon Snow, however. Did Nutter lie to The Honorable President of the United States of America to protect the show? Knowing "Game of Thrones," we wouldn't be surprised at this twist.

To make you feel better, here's a "Game of Thrones" audition reel from some of your favorite characters.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2"

There was laughing. There was raw emotion. There was face-petting. A lot happened at the "Hunger Games" panel this weekend, including the release of a new funky promo. The "Hunger Games" series was an emotional one for Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, and at the panel at Comic-Con they talked about experiencing the end of an era. See the promo above.

"Suicide Squad"

After a sneaky fan posted a leaked version of the "Suicide Squad" trailer online, Warner Bros. went ahead and put the full trailer up online for fans. "It's unfortunate and ultimately damaging that one individual broke a long-standing trust we have enjoyed with our fans at the convention by posting early material, which, at this point, was not intended for a wider audience," said Warner Bros. marketing chief Sue Kroll in a statement. We have the trailer above, but we can't guarantee you won't feel guilty watching it. Just make sure you catch Jared Leto as The Joker at the end.

"Goosebumps" and Jack Black

In the most meta way possible, the '90s favorite book series "Goosebumps" is returning for a big-screen reboot starring Jack Black. Expect lots of references to the classics, so dust off those old paperbacks and catch up before the premiere in October.

AMC: "The Walking Dead" and "Into The Badlands"

AMC's zombie-fest "The Walking Dead" returned in a big way, bringing trailers for Season 6, which premieres Oct. 11. Also shown was a bloody teaser for "Fear the Walking Dead," the official prequel series starting Aug. 23.

Even a new trailer for AMC's "Into the Badlands" showed up, proving AMC's dedication to zombies, drama and sword fighting, apparently. "Into the Badlands" premieres fall 2015. Warning: some parts of the trailer are graphic.

"Ash vs. Evil Dead"

Speaking of zombies: Bruce Campbell is back again. In a follow-up to the cult classic "The Evil Dead," the square-chinned actor returns for another round of ridiculous zombie-slashing goodness. Expect chainsaw arms, lewd one-liners and plenty of gratuitous violence Oct. 31 on Starz. Warning: The trailer is violent and profane, naturally.

"Doctor Who" returns

The long-running British TV series is back again, this time starring Peter Capaldi as the 12th doctor. The Con was a chance to introduce Capaldi to devoted American fans, and BBC didn't disappoint, bringing with them a trailer full of teasers. There's new planets, new species, and Maisie Williams of "Game of Thrones" fame. Season 9 premieres Sept. 19.

"Rock the Kasbah" and Bill Murray

Bill Murray showed up at Comic-Con and conquered the show. In his new movie "Rock the Kasbah," Murray is an aging rock band manager who finds himself lost in translation in Afghanistan. Add Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Danny McBride, then mix for best results. Watch the star-studded trailer for yourself.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice"

"Batman v. Superman" director Zack Snyder is a polarizing kind of guy. Some fans were concerned with his upcoming film "Batman v. Superman," so he showed up to Comic-Con in a Batmobile. Then he dropped a trailer that promptly blew people's minds. Sort of. And Ben Affleck -- dare we say it -- might be a promising Batman after all. And Gal Gadot showed up as Wonder Woman to beat up some people. What's going to happen, exactly? We'll have to wait until 2016 to find out.
