What did Ricky Gervais say to Mel Gibson at the Golden Globes?

Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony didn't lack for several bleep-worthy moments. But the censors left the audience wondering, what did host Ricky Gervais say to Mel Gibson as the two exchanged profanity-laced jabs onstage?

The tension was evident when Gervais introduced Gibson, whose problems with alcohol have been well-documented.

"I'd rather have a drink with him than have a drink with Bill Cosby in his hotel room tonight," said the host.

Gibson shot back and said, "I love seeing Ricky every three years because it reminds me to get a colonoscopy."

The spar continued as Gervais whispered a bleeped-out comment to Gibson that left the audience both laughing and gaping in shock.

So what was the risqué remark? According to People, it was: "What the f**k does sugar t**s even mean?"

It was reportedly a reference to Gibson's 2006 drunk-driving traffic stop during which he called a female officer "sugar t**s" in an expletive-filled tirade.

Gibson also made anti-Semitic remarks during the arrest, for which he later apologized.

Gervais reportedly made another dig at Gibson before the show's end: "From myself and Mel Gibson, shalom."

Amy Schumer and Jonah Hill also dropped bleeped-out comments at the 73rd annual ceremony.
