Prince William sings "Livin' on a Prayer" with Jon Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift

A U.K. royal got to perform with U.S. music royalty at a recent charity event.

Prince William sang alongside Taylor Swift and Jon Bon Jovi Tuesday night during the annual Winter Whites gala, held at William's Kensington Palace residence.

The Duke of Cambridge joined the American singers onstage for an impromptu rendition of the 1986 Bon Jovi classic "Livin' on a Prayer."

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch and singer James Blunt were among those in the audience.

Following the gala, the unlikely singing trio scored positive reviews in the British press for the performance.

Swift took to Twitter to share her excitement, posting a photo from the event via Instagram:

William agreed to have the benefit gala at his residence as he serves as the royal patron of the Centrepoint charity, which helps raise funds to care for homeless youths.

Bon Jovi is also noted for his philanthropic work as the founder of the Soul Foundation, assisting those facing economic hardships. During the night, William presented the rock singer with an award for his charitable efforts.
