Pregnant Kate spends a day at the races

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, went off to the races on Friday.

The prince and his pregnant wife made an appearance at the Cheltenham Festival horse races in England.

Kate, 31, wore a tan coat and sported the same Lock & Co hat she wore to a friend's wedding in Switzerland earlier this month. William, 30, accompanied her in a dark suit and red tie.

According to People, the couple arrived at the races just before lunch. Their "surprise appearance" was reportedly greeted by loud cheers. Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, was spotted at the event the day before.

Their trip follows the announcement that Kate will attend a Scouts Association volunteer training event in northwest England on March 22.
