Poppy Montgomery welcomes a baby girl

Poppy Montgomery's baby has popped out just in time for Mother's Day.

The "Unforgettable" star and her boyfriend, Microsoft executive Shawn Sanford, welcomed a daughter named Violet Grace Devereux Sanford on Monday, April 22.

"We are overjoyed with the arrival of our beautiful angel and filled with gratitude that she is happy, healthy and thriving," the 37-year-old said, according to People.

Montgomery is already mother to son Jackson, 5, from a previous relationship with actor Adam Kaufman.

Violet's flowery name is a continuation of a longstanding tradition in Montgomery's family of naming daughters for flowers -- Montgomery's sisters are named Rosie Thorn, Daisy Yellow, Lily Belle and Marigold Sun.
