(CBS/AP) HOOKSTOWN, Pa. - A western Pennsylvania woman has been jailed on child endangerment charges after police say her 2-year-old daughter was found alone on the road near the woman's home twice on the same day.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, the 2-year-old girl wandered out by herself onto a highway.

State police in Beaver say a woman called them to say she found Sickelsmith's 2-year-old daughter sitting in the middle of Route 151 in front of Sickelsmith's home about 10:20 a.m. Sunday.

The woman recognized the girl and took her home, but police say another motorist saw the girl on the road about 11:45 a.m. and called police.

37-year-old Amy Sickelsmith, the mother of the girl, told the station she loves her kids and wouldn't intentionally put them in danger.

Authorities said Sickelsmith was sleeping on both occasions. She allegedly told police she blocked the door with a chair, but the child somehow got outside.

CBS Pittsburgh reports police said the girl also wandered off about a month ago.

The mother was charged with child endangerment and released on a bond. Her daughter and son are reportedly staying with their grandmother.

Sickelsmith told the station she has health issues that make her tired and is trying to work through them.
