NEW YORK (CBS) Multiplatinum-selling, Grammy-winning global star Nelly Furtado is still soaring 'like a bird' with a career that has reached many heights.

Still glowing from her recent Latin Grammy win for Best Female Pop Vocal Album for her 2009 Spanish album, "Mi Plan,"  Furtado has proven that it doesn't matter what language or genre in which she sings. She can put her signature style on any tune.

Furtado has collaborated with Colombian superstar Juanes, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, soulful crooner James Morrison and rapper Timberland, who's also known for dropping beats with Justin Timberlake.

With more than a decade of success and an array of hit singles and albums under her belt, Furtado thought it was time to bring it all together in "The Best of Nelly Furtado." Her first album, "Whoa Nelly!" came out in 2000, and  included her hit, "I'm Like a Bird," which catapulted her career into super-stardom.

"This is a great time for me to reflect and celebrate with the fans also. Just 10  years being in the business, I didn't really know if I'd still be here. ... Music was always my first love and my hobby. I just feel blessed and lucky," she told CBSNews.com.

What can fans expect from her latest release?

"The Best Of Nelly Furtado" features three brand new songs as well as hits and duets from the past.

The Canadian-born singer-songwriter of Portuguese heritage has recorded in Portuguese as well. Her song, "Porta," which was the theme song for the 2004 World Cup in Lisbon, Portugal, is also featured on the  new album.

Furtado also released her new video for "Night Is Young," the first single off of "The Best Of Nelly Furtado."

"'Night is Young' is a jubilant celebration, a dance-pop song that celebrates life and reflects on the past and looks to the future. That is very much how I feel right now, so it works out real well," she said.

Furtado has won and seven Grammy awards. She's taken home a BRIT Award, numerous Junos (Canada's equivalent of the Grammy), including "Album of the Year" for "Loose" and  an MTV Europe Music Award.

The mother of  an 8-year old, Furtado  has  been nominated for a handful of Billboard Latin Music Awards in addition to her latest Grammy win for her 2009 album, "Mi Plan."
