(CBS/AP) ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Court records say Chelsea Michelle Booth, a 25-year-old woman charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter, believed the child was suffering from a "Muslim curse" and was possessed by an evil spirit.

The statement of probable cause made public Friday includes details from an interview Booth gave this week to detectives investigating the murder of 2-year-old Kassidey Booth in Annapolis.

The document says Chelsea Booth told investigators she murdered Kassidey this week by lying on top of her and smothering her. Then, the document says Booth told authorities she wrapped Kassidey in a blanket and placed her body in a trash bin.

Police found the body in a rail car at a trash transfer station. Booth had been charged with first- and second-degree murder before the child's body was found.

CBS Baltimore reports Booth is also charged with first-degree child abuse.

According to the station, Booth is being held without bail at the Jennifer Road Detention Center and officers are continuing to investigate.
