Most searched of 2011? Google Zeitgeist reveals who

(CBS) - Google Zeitgeist released a moving video of 2011's top searches.

"What mattered in 2011?" was the question posed in Google's introduction to their list of fastest-growing searches of the year.

It was the year of Apple, as three of the top 10 searches were related to the company. The company's co-founder Steve Jobs came in at No. 9, while the iPad 2 came in at No. 10 and iPhone 5 came in at No. 6.

So who was No. 1?

Rebecca Black was the fastest growing person of 2011. Not surprising because she was completely unknown until her music video "Friday" was mocked on websites like Reddit and 4Chan. The 13-year old became a viral sensation and target of Internet jokes, catapulting her YouTube video to over 167 million views.

Other top searches included singer Adele, Battlefield 3 and reality show star Ryan Dunn.
