AINSWORTH, Neb. (CBS/KOLN/AP) Police say missing Nebraska teen Melody Rose Martin has been found safe in Arkansas.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office issued an Amber Alert Wednesday night for the missing teenager, saying the girl was abducted.

The alert was canceled Thursday.

Sheriff Steve Hapner says the 15-year-old was found safe in Arkansas. He referred further comment to the FBI, whose spokesperson said no further information was immediately available.

Melody, also known as Melody Gibbs, was last seen in Nebraska at her house on the south end of Ainsworth.

When the alert was issued, authorities believed Melody was in the company of 30-year-old Robert F. Olney and traveling in a Red 2007 four-door Hyundai Accent with a New York license plate EBG8885. Authorities thought they may be headed to New York or Alabama.

According to CBS Affiliate KOLN, a MySpace user who identifies herself as Melody, a 15-year-old from Nebraska, updated her status Wednesday: "ill be on today then im not gonna be on for a few days so i will talk to u all soon! <3 have fun and dont get into to much trouble without." She lists her mood as excited.

Melody is MySpace friends with Robert, a 29-year-old from Schenectady, New York who lists himself as 5'9" with an average build. His public profile indicates he is in a relationship. Although Robert's first name is only displayed on his profile, a search of "Robert Olney" brought up his MySpace account.
