(CBS) Country star Miranda Lambert wasn't a fan of Chris Brown's appearance at Sunday night's Grammy Awards.
On Monday, the singer sent a pair of tweets questioning Brown's presence at the ceremony - where he performed twice and took home the award for best R&B album - citing his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Here's what she shared with her more than 650,000 followers:
How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl...-- Miranda Lambert (@Miranda_Lambert) February 13, 2012
Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.-- Miranda Lambert (@Miranda_Lambert) February 13, 2012
"Gunpowder and Lead," for those not familiar with Lambert's songs, is about avenging domestic violence.
Brown reportedly responded to critics on Tuesday with a message of his own. A screencap on Mashable.com shows that Brown tweeted, "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That's the ultimate F--- OFF!" That tweet has since been removed from his account.
