Miranda Lambert: "Marriage is a tough business"
Miranda Lambert go personal in a her new cover story for Cosmopolitan, opening up about her divorce from Blake Shelton for the first time.
The pair called it quits over the summer after four years of marriage. Shelton has since moved on, confirming that he's dating Gwen Stefani, his co-star on "The Voice."
"Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try," Lambert told the magazine, per ET.
"I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted," the 32-year-old singer said.
It sounds like Lambert is still trying to get over the split -- "Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, 'Man, this sucks right now,'" she said.
Lambert, meanwhile, is spending Thanksgiving with her mom.
The new issue of Cosmo arrives on Dec. 3.
