(CBS/AP) "I will kill you," he allegedly told a restaurant manager. "Kill me," he defiantly told the police.

Those are the words of Miguel Cabrera, according to the 911 call and disturbing new reports stemming from the Detroit Tigers star's DUI arrest last month.

Media outlets are reporting police were summoned to a Fort Pierce restaurant before Cabrera's arrest because the first baseman allegedly threatened a manager and an off-duty fish and wildlife officer.

The Florida state attorney's office released a 911 audiotape, a police video and a 41-page report on Wednesday.

According to The Detroit Free Press, the manager and off-duty officer told police Cabrera smelled of alcohol, insinuated he had a gun in a shoulder bag and said, "I know all of you, and I will kill all of you and blow this place up."

Cabrera walked into the restaurant around 10:15 p.m., according to the report, and was told by the manager that the restaurant was closing. After continuing inside Cabrera was convinced to leave but then leaned near the manager's face, said "I will kill you" and again patted his shoulder bag, the newspaper reported.

He was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting an officer without violence. His attorney has entered a written plea of not guilty.

During his arrest, Cabrera flipped off a cop and shouted at police, "(Expletive) shoot me, kill me" when ordered to drop to his knees so that officers could handcuff him, according to a sheriff's report obtained by thesmokinggun.com.

According to the report, Cabrera also stated, "Do you know who I am? I'm Miguel Cabrera, I play for the Detroit Tigers, you don't know my family."

Cabrera is not on the travel roster for the Tigers' game Thursday night against the Florida Marlins.
