Scott Wobbe, 38, was charged with first-degree premeditated murder and mutilation of a body in the death of his girlfriend, 22-year-old Theresa DeKeyzer, who was found dead last September in a drum at a storage site in Plymouth Township.

DeKeyzer lived about 30 miles away in Warren and had been missing for weeks prior to the discovery of her body. She had filed a domestic violence complaint against Wobbe prior to her disappearance.

The Macomb Daily reports about 60 family and friends of DeKeyzer attended the sentencing hearing, many wearing purple shirts with the message, "Justice for Theresa." Her mother and two sisters spoke in court before the sentence was handed down.
