Massive whale shark spotted off Maryland shore
BALTIMORE -- A massive whale shark has been spotted off the coast of Ocean City, CBS Baltimore reports.
Captain Steve Moore captured the whale shark swimming past the boat on video. Whale sharks are extremely rare off the mid-Atlantic coast.
The video posted Thursday has attracted more than 837,000 views on Facebook.
The giant fish can reach lengths of 40 feet or more.
