Madonna's new album debuts at No. 1

(CBS News) Madonna continues her reign as the "Queen of Pop," debuting at No. 1 with her new album, "MDNA," with 359,000 copies sold.

It marks Madonna's eighth No. 1 album on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The "Material Girl" holds on to her second-place ranking among women with the most No. 1 albums. If she snags another top album, she will tie Barbra Streisand, who has nine chart-toppers, according to Billboard.

Lionel Richie's country covers album "Tuskegee" opened at No. 2 with 199,000 copies, his highest-charting album since 1986. The collection features collaborations with Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett and other artists.
