Laketha Moore, Nevada mother, accused of tying daughter to bed held on $620K bail
(CBS/AP) NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. - A North Las Vegas judge set bail at $620,000 Friday for a mother accused of tying her 4-year-old daughter to a bed and locking her in a room for up to 12 hours a day.
Laketha Moore, 36, faces two counts of child abuse and 31 counts of child neglect after her daughter was found tied to a bed during a routine maintenance check of the mother's apartment on Monday, according to CBS affiliate KLAS-TV.
According to a police report, Moore would leave her daughter locked in an apartment bedroom for 10 to 12 hours a day whenever she went to work or church, the station reports.
Moore is due back in court on March 29.
