Well, it didn't take them long. As soon as Barack Obama became the Democrats' nominee-to-be, he and John McCain went straight on the attack.
Video: Mostly, the candidates deserve credit for debating differences respectfully. But McCain and Obama slipped off the high ground on the issue of a new GI Bill for soldiers.
