LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) Kelly Soo Park, the woman arrested Monday by Santa Monica police in connection with the 2008 murder of aspiring model and actress Juliana Redding, has now been charged with murder.

Police have not released a motive for the murder.

Park's roommate, 34-year-old Ronnie Wayne Case, was also arrested Monday by Santa Monica detectives; however, the district attorney's office declined to charge him and he has since been released pending further investigation, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Police and detectives are hesitant to release further information regarding the investigation because they are still pursuing other leads and may make additional arrests.

Redding had moved from Tucson, Ariz. to Santa Monica, Calif. in order to pursue a career in modeling and acting. She had been featured in Maxim magazine, where she won a "Hometown Hotties" contest.

Redding had also had a minor role in a 2005 film.

Police found the body of the Hollywood hopeful in her Santa Monica apartment.

There are still some questions raised by Redding's death, but police and the FBI who have poured thousands of hours into the case are confident they are closer to solving the mystery of her murder.

Authorities asked anyone with more information to call Santa Monica police Lt. Mike Beautz at 310- 458-8488.
