Jessa (Duggar) Seewald pregnant with second child
Jessa (Duggar) Seewald of “Counting On” is pregnant again.
She and her husband, Ben Seewald, announced on their website that they are expecting their second child.
“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as ‘big brother’!” they wrote. “We are so thankful that God is adding to our family. 2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!).”
Son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald was born on Nov. 5, 2015, just one day after Jessa turned 23; Ben is 21.
The Seewalds picked the unusual name to pay tribute to a pastor.
“Charles Spurgeon was a preacher who lived in the 19th century and he had a big impact on our lives and his writings and sermons are still around today,” said Ben. “Elliot was the last name of Jim Elliot and Elisabeth Elliot.”
