Jennifer Aniston keeps popping up in responses to the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce
With news of a Brangelina breakup, it appears some people are still firmly Team Jen.
As news spread that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after nearly 12 years together and two years of marriage, images of Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston began saturating social media.
Fans began posting pictures and gifs of Aniston from her past performances -- wearing a cheerleader outfit, smiling or laughing -- in their reactions to the divorce news.
By midday Tuesday, Aniston was the second most popular trending topic on Twitter.
But Aniston or no Aniston, not everyone is pleased with the fun so many seem to be having at Jolie and Pitt’s expense. Rose McGowan took to Twitter to scold media outlets and others for the tone being used.
Aniston and Pitt wed in 2000 and split in 2005. Pitt and Jolie reportedly fell in love earlier that year while filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Aniston married Justin Theroux in 2015.
