Jennier Lawrence on her future "X-Men" plans: "Fox should be terrified"

Jennifer Lawrence's deal for the "X-Men" franchise is up after this month's "X-Men: Apocalypse," and if 20th Century Fox and the series' producers want her back for a fourth installment, they'll have to talk to more people than just her.

Lawrence has starred as blue-skinned shapeshifting mutant Mystique in three films -- "X-Men: First Class," "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "X-Men: Apocalypse," and while the franchise clearly has plans to continue, the Oscar-winner has been the most vocal vacillator about whether or not she'll return.

"[Michael] Fassbender and [James] McAvoy and I were all talking, like, 'Will you come back?' 'I dunno.' 'I'll come back, if you come back,'" Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly. "Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was, like, if one of us doesn't come back, none of us are."

Of course, it's not that Lawrence doesn't want to return for more mutant fun. It's just that the two-time Oscar winner has to be very careful with how she spends her time professionally.

"I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character," she said. "But then you realize how important your year is -- like how important three months out of your year is. I don't know. I shouldn't be that honest."
