Pavelka, 32, was 2,100 miles away from Giradi when he ended their relationship. The "Bachelor" star was in Atlanta filming for his upcoming guest stint on Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva," while Giradi, 24, was still in LA.

He told People magazine that their relationship was affecting his work on set as he struggled to get into character for his role.

"I've been trying to put all that aside so that I can give this character justice," he tells the magazine. "It's been a struggle thinking about my relationship and going in front of the camera and shooting."

Pavelka surprised fans of the show when he chose Giradi over Tenley Molzahn on the most recent season of the ABC reality show. The two called it quits just three months after the show ended, and just a month after the two shared a romantic waltz on the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars."
