NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Jack Bauer and Mr. Big are headed to Broadway.

"That Championship Season" is about four former jocks who gather for a reunion with their high school basketball coach 20 years after winning the state championship.

Sutherland is best known for his roles as Jack Bauer on Fox's "24"' and the film "A Few Good Men." Noth, who played Carrie Bradshsaw's love on the "Sex and the City" series and movies, also stars in "The Good Wife" on CBS.

Patric appeared in "Narc" and "The Lost Boys." Gaffigan, a comedian, was on the show "My Boys," and Cox was last on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's "Rock 'n Roll."

Braugher has been on the New York stage many times. The second season of his TNT series, "Men of a Certain Age,'' starts Dec. 6.

This is part of a Broadway trend of attracting television and movie stars to widen the appeal of plays and musicals to tourists. Already performing on Broadway are: Kelsey Grammer of "Cheers," Judith Light of "Who's the Boss?," "Star Trek" star Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight of "Grey's Anatomy" fame.

Movie star Al Pacino opens this week on Broadway in "The Merchant of Venice" and Brendan Frasier ("George of the Jungle") and George Weendt of "Cheers" are set to premiere there in coming weeks.

Another "Cheers" star, David Hyde Pierce, brought his London hit "La Bete" to Broadway in September, after it finished its West End run the month before.
