Investigators searching for missing Fla. mother

MIAMI- A Florida family held a vigil Saturday morning for a missing mother of two, reports CBS Miami.

Trukita Scott's family has been searching for the 24-year-old woman since June 25. Her loved ones are still searching for answers. They passed out flyers during the prayer vigil in a northern Miami park, trying to raise awareness about Scott.

The woman's family realized something was wrong when she didn't pick up her children from school on the 25th. "She'd never leave the kids at school," said her mom Kengreal Allen Scott. "She would never leave them at school. Leave them with someone she could have trusted, possibility, but never at school."

Scott has a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.

Shortly after Scott went missing, her car was found empty by Ft. Lauderdale police. Her cell phone was traced and showed up pinging all over southern Florida the day after her disappearance.

Cell phone records were accessed and the last call Scott made was to her ex-boyfriend, Carl Watts, who is also the father of her son, says CBS Miami.

Watts was arrested last month for trying to kidnap a teenager from a bus stop, according to investigators. Trukita's mother said her daughter was afraid of Watts.

If you have information call Broward County Crimestoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
