Industry Moves: De Castro To Replace Rosenblatt As Google Display Chief

This story was written by Joseph Tartakoff.

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) is bringing in Henrique De Castro, the company's managing director of European Sales and Media Platforms, to lead its display advertising business, a spokeswoman told paidContent. De Castro will hold the title of managing director of global display and YouTube advertising. De Castro replaces David Rosenblatt, Google's president of global display advertising, who the company confirmed today was leaving. Rosenblatt was the CEO of DoubleClick until that company was purchased by Google for $3.3 billion last year.

In a statement, Google said, "We're grateful for David Rosenblatt's contributions to Google, and we wish him well. It's important to remember, however, that we have a strong executive leadership bench in place to support all our businesses."
