Student arrested, search for more suspects in San Jose State sexual batteries

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Police investigating six recent cases of sexual battery at San Jose State University have arrested one 19-year-old student, but believe there are other suspects still at large, according to a letter from the university president.

Huaien “David” Kong is suspected of attacking a female student in the university’s Student Union, one of the six attacks. University Police Department reportedly believe he may have committed other unreported sexual batteries.

According to the SJSU president, all the victims in the battery cases have been students but police are not sure whether other suspects are affiliated with the university. The university says that they have received six reports of sexual battery since Oct. 17, and CBS San Francisco reports that three of the cases occurred within one week.
