Honeymoon over for Prince William and Kate Middleton

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, walk hand in hand from Buckingham Palace on April 30, 2011, the day after their wedding, to a waiting helicopter that took them to an undisclosed weekend retreat.

(CBS) Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are back in Wales, following a secluded 10-day honeymoon in the Seychelles.

The palace has released a statement saying that the royal couple, who married to worldwide fanfare on April 29 in London, "thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special 10 days."

The royal couple reportedly left the Indian Ocean archipelago on Friday. It is not known when the prince will resume work as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot.

Next on their agenda is the official celebration of the queen's birthday on June 11 (Queen Elizabeth II turned 85in April) and the June 12 celebration of Prince Philip's 90th birthday.

They will also be heading to Canada in early July for their first official visit as man and wife. Before flying home, they will make a brief visit to California. It is not yet known how the couple will spend their time in the Golden state.
