Haunting relics of 9/11

Hangar 17 at John F. Kennedy Airport was a somber and haunting place when 60 Minutes visited it a few years ago. This climate-controlled building in Queens, New York, houses some of the relics and ruins of the World Trade Center attack and collapse - mangled and crushed fire trucks, police cars, taxis, trains, steel beams and girders, even bicycles still tethered to the rack -- storing them for eventual placement in the September 11 museum.

To see the damage and destruction to these vehicles and other objects is to be reminded of the awful and overwhelming impact that the 9/11 attacks had on so many lives, lives being remembered today as the names of the dead are read aloud by those who miss them, and as the injured struggle with their illnesses and memories.
