The 81-year-old Oscar winner's rep told TMZ that the actor has been released from the hospital and is "fine."

Hackman "suffered bumps and bruises after a woman bumped him from behind in her vehicle," his rep told TMZ.

The actor had been airlifted since he was on an island, but there was never any serious injury, according to his rep.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which reportedly took place at 3 p.m. local time.
