Gaming Company ZeniMax Receives $9.9 Million Funding

What's a mere $9.9 million if you've already raised $300 million in a previous round? Video game maker Zenimax Media has received $9.9 million in funding from previous investor PE firm Providence Equity Partners in the new "strategic option grant", reports VB. Providence invested $300 million in a round announced in October last year. Founded in 1999, the company makes games for PCs and the major gaming consoles; among its titles is Oblivion. Co-founded by prominent DC lawyer Robert A. Altman, Zenimax sports a high profile roster of directors and outside advisors including Les Moonves, Jerry Bruckheimer, baseball player Cal Ripken, Senator George Mitchell and former DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe.
