Fuel truck hits plane at LAX, injuring 1 person

LOS ANGELES -- One person was hospitalized Monday after a truck carrying fuel struck an airplane sitting on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport.

CBS Los Angeles reported the incident took place at an American Airlines gate at about 4:52 p.m. One person was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, but the condition of that person is unknown.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
