Friends, Family React To Coach's Murder

NEW YORK (CBS) Family and friends expressed shock and horror as news spread Wednesday that Iowa high school football coach Ed Thomas had been shot and killed.

Mark Becker, a former high school football player who worked in the weight room where Thomas was shot, has been arrested and is the primary suspect in the killing, according to police.

Thomas was one of the most well-known high school football coaches in Iowa. He was honored as the NFL High School Coach of the Year in 2005, and four of his former players are in the NFL: Green Bay's Aaron Kampman, Jacksonville's Brad Meester, Detroit's Jared DeVries and Denver's Casey Wiegmann.
