For sale: D.C. mansion where wealthy family, housekeeper slain

WASHINGTON -- The mansion where three members of a wealthy Washington family and their housekeeper were slain is on the market.

The 5-bedroom manor-style home with a 2-car garage in upper northwest Washington was listed last week for $3.25 million.

The listing says the home is being sold "as-is."

It shows signs of a fire, and there's red tape and a lock across the front door.

Daron Wint is charged with murder in the deaths of Savvas and Amy Savopoulos; their 10-year-old son, Philip; and housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa.

Police say they believe the victims were held captive for 18 hours and killed after the delivery of a $40,000 ransom in May.

The mansion was then set on fire. D.C. law says real estate agents must be truthful if asked about deaths in a home.
