(CBS/AP) GARGATHA, Va. - Authorities investigating the deaths of five people found in a mobile home on Virginia's Eastern Shore say the person responsible is among the dead.

Accomack County Sheriff Todd Godwin said Friday that the five bodies were found on Thursday after deputies responded to a call of an attempted suicide in Gargatha. He did not say how they were killed.

Godwin described the crime scene as the deadliest in the county in at least a decade.

Police are still attempting to identify the victims, whose remains were taken to the medical examiner's office in Norfolk.

A brother of one of the victims, Omar Colon Matias, said his sister Evelyn and the father of her two children, ages 9 and 11, were living there with another woman.

The trailer is located along a dirt road in a wooded remote area of the Eastern Shore near the Maryland line. It's among a handful of trailers in the area.
