Grab the tissues, the first trailer for Netflix's "The Little Prince" is here

This one is guaranteed to jerk more than a few tears.

Netflix has released the first trailer for the stop-motion animation adaptation of the classic children's book "The Little Prince," due out in August.

The film features the voice talents of a pretty impressive cast: Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, James Franco, Marion Cotillard, Benicio Del Toro, Ricky Gervais, Paul Rudd, Paul Giamatti and Albert Brooks all lend their voices to the tale of a little girl (Mackenzie Foy) at odds with the modern world who finds herself transported by a tale told by her mysterious old neighbor, the Aviator (Bridges).

While the film was a hit overseas last year and broke box office records in France, its U.S. release has been beset by setbacks, with original distributor Paramount dropping it just days before its planned debut in March. Luckily, Netflix swooped in and took over. The film will be released both in theaters and for streaming on Netflix on August 5.
