Fetty Wap checks in after motorcycle accident

Rapper Fetty Wap checked in on Instagram Sunday after getting into a motorcycle accident in Paterson, New Jersey, over the weekend.

In the post, Wap, 25, revealed he broke his leg in three places after police say his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon nearby his hometown.

"I appreciate all my fans praying for me, man," Wap says in the clip. "I had a little accident, but I'm straight. I mean, I broke my leg in three places, but I'll be alright. I really appreciate you all for real."

In the caption, he wrote, "Appreciate Ya so much for the prayers ... they told me don't make a video but I'm still breathing so I gotta let ya no I'll be back."

Police say Wap's motorcycle collided with a car Saturday afternoon. The woman driving the car also was injured. Wap was cited for driving without a license, not having insurance and not being able to produce a registration card for his motorcycle.

Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, recently won a Video Music Award for Artist to Watch and released his self-titled debut album last Friday. His singles include "Trap Queen" and "My Way." Wap is on the bill to perform at the upcoming BET Hip-Hop Awards.
