Entertainment buzz: Facebook's top 10 moments of the week

Did you hear about that little wedding that happened in Venice last weekend?

Of course you did -- unless you were under a rock or somewhere else without access to the Internet or a newsstand -- but George Clooney's wedding wasn't the only thing people were talking about this week. There was also that "Simpsons"-"Family Guy" crossover, a trailer for the latest "Taken" film and a new (and somewhat controversial) music video from Maroon 5.

Facebook has tallied the top 10 buzziest stories in entertainment this week, and all of those topics made the most-talked-about list. What had you talking? See what you missed in this exclusive list on CBSNews.com.

1. George Clooney marries Amal Alamuddin

Well, it happened. George Clooney married Lebanese-born British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice last week. Paparazzi captured photos of the happy couple and their Hollywood pals attending a series of celebrations, and People magazine nabbed ceremony details and the rights to the wedding photos (and the first look at the bride's Oscar de la Renta gown - just one of the gorgeous high-fashion ensembles she wore that weekend). Our invitation must have gotten lost in the mail.

2. The Simpsons and Family Guy crossover episode airs on Fox

Quahog made its way to Springfield last Sunday night when the Griffins met Homer, Marge & co. in a "Family Guy"-"The Simpsons" crossover episode. Before it aired, there was controversy over a rape joke that some called for Fox to omit.

Did you watch the episode? What did you think of it?

3. Aretha Franklin covers Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" on the "Late Show"

What happens when the Queen of Soul takes on the British soul songstress' hit? One diva singing another diva's you-done-me-wrong anthem? There are "Inception" levels of musical awesomeness happening here, and we love it (also, check out the backup singers behind Franklin -- one of them is Cissy Houston, aka mom of Whitney).

4. Trailer released for "Taken 3," starring Liam Neeson

How many times can something get "Taken" from Liam Neeson? At present count, three. This time, he's kicking butt and blowing things up after his character is falsely accused of murder.

5. "The Walking Dead" Season 4 released on Netflix

If you need to refresh your memory before the new season arrives later this month, you're in luck -- the fourth season of "The Walking Dead" is now on Netflix. Season 5 arrives on Oct. 12, which means that if you haven't started yet, you still have a little more than a week to cover those 16 episodes (a worthy challenge, should you choose to accept it).

6. "The Daily Show" airs segment on Washington Redskins

Jason Jones sat down with Native American activists and football fans to discuss the team's controversial name -- and, perhaps not surprisingly, some of those fans weren't too happy about how the segment went down.

7. 75th anniversary of "Gone With the Wind"

Frankly, my dear, we do give a damn about this milestone anniversary for the 1939 movie classic, which returned to the big screen this past week to commemorate hitting the 75-year mark:

8. Carrie Underwood releases new single "Something in the Water"

The country singer and mother-to-be's latest single was released this week -- along with some moody, rainy cover art.

9. Chris Pratt opens 40th season of "Saturday Night Live"

"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt was the first host of this new "SNL" season, and while he didn't French braid anyone's hair or show off more old-school photos, he did sing in his opening monologue, rapped in a sketch about flirting and poked fun at his Marvel movie success. So all in all, we'd call it a pretty good showing.

10. Maroon 5 releases new music video for song "Animals"

There's no doubt that Adam Levine and wife Behati Prinsloo make a gorgeous couple, but their appearances in Maroon 5's new music video -- showing him chopping meat at a butcher, staring up at her window, finding his way into her bed and the two being covered in blood -- is catching a lot of criticism. Is it creepy? Gruesome? Sexist? Glorifies stalking? That's just some of the things people are saying about it. Watch it below if you want to see for yourself:
