"John has said that when his divorce is final, he'll buy her a diamond ring. But in the meantime, he's getting them a house," the Enquirer claims a "close" unnamed source told them.
The National Enquirer was the first news outlet to reveal the existence of the politician's lovechild with Hunter.
Meanwhile, a legal battle is being waged over an alleged sex tape that Edwards' former aide Andrew Young said shows Edwards and a woman he believes to be Hunter.

Hunter sued Young for invasion of privacy and sought the return of what she deemed a private and personal video. A judge agreed and Young was ordered last week to turn over his copies of the tape so they can be placed under seal.
Young is hawking a tell-all book about the former senator called "The Politician."
John Edwards and his wife Elizabeth Edwards are now legally separated after 32 years of marriage, two failed presidential runs, and her ongoing fight with terminal cancer.
