Emma Watson taking time off from Brown University

(CBS) Actress Emma Watson has announced that she is temporarily leaving Brown University to focus on her busy career

"As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible," the 20-year-old sophomore wrote on her website Monday.

"I've decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects," she added. "I will still be working towards my degree... it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought :) ."

Along with finishing up her work on the last "Harry Potter" film installment, Watson has kept busy with her fashion design projects.

Watson, the former face of Burberry, recently revealed a new organic capsule collection she worked on with designer Alberta Ferretti. And in January, her third and final collaboration line with fair trade clothing label People Tree debuted online
