Dropbox Comes to Android, iPad, and Soon, BlackBerry

Remember that TV show, "Everybody Loves Dropbox"? Well, everybody's favorite cloud-based file-syncing service is about to get even more love: Dropbox is now available for Android phones and iPad tablets. And there's a BlackBerry version coming soon.

As you may recall, Dropbox got the iPhone treatment last October, offering users a free app for accessing their files on the go. Dropbox for iPad (also newly updated for iPhone and iPod Touch) offers the same capabilities, along with support for exporting files directly to third-party apps.

So if you have, say, an Excel spreadsheet in your Dropbox library, you can export it right to the Numbers app. However, this works only with apps that support Dropbox, which for now number about eight. Still, they're good apps, like Documents To Go and Fuze Meeting.

As for the long-awaited Android app, you can read all about it over at the Dropbox blog.
