Thirty-five-year-old Kelly Rothwell of Indian Rocks Beach was last seen by a friend on March 12 when she said she was going to break up with Perry, according to a friend of hers. The 47-year-old Perry left for Elmira, N.Y. the next day, reports CBS affiliate WTSP.

On Tuesday police named Perry a suspect in Rothwell's disappearance, citing his "bizarre behavior and lack of cooperation."

Florida authorities have wanted to question Perry in the disappearance of Rothwell. Perry has refused to take a DNA test or talk to authorities, aside from his lawyer providing police with a three-hour timeline of the day Rothwell disappeared.

Authorities say Perry began a new relationship with another woman shortly after Rothwell disappeared.

Perry was arrested in May on unrelated charges of grand larceny and insurance fraud.
