(CBS) "Glee" fans have something new to sing about - actor Darren Criss is officially heading to Broadway next year.

The actor will replace Daniel Radcliffe as J. Pierrepont Finch in the musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Criss will make his Broadway debut on Jan. 3 and continue through Jan. 22, Broadway.com reports.

"Daniel gives an extraordinary performance eight times a week and we knew finding someone to fill his shoes would be nearly impossible," "How to Succeed" director/choreographer Rob Ashford said in a statement.

"When we learned of Darren's dream of performing on Broadway we knew we had found our Finch but presumed his 'Glee' schedule would eliminate any chance to work with him. We are ecstatic and grateful to Ryan Murphy and his 'Glee' team at 20th Century Fox TV for helping to make both Darren's and our dream come true."

Earlier this month, it was reported that Criss was being considered to replace the "Harry Potter" star in the show, which opened in March.

Ironically, before his role on "Glee," Criss found Internet stardom playing Harry Potter in "A Very Potter Musical" and "A Very Potter Sequel."

Tell us: What do you think of Criss heading to "How to Succeed"?
